Pumpkin Picking

Today we had the amazing experience of picking our own pumpkins. We travelled to the pumpkin farm on the mini bus and made sure to be wearing our wellies. When we arrived what did we find but lots of muddy puddles! We collected our pumpkins in wheelbarrows and got to walk through the fields. The best part was definitely jumping in the mud.

Creative Pumpkins

We used our pumpkin as inspiration to paint some lovely orange masterpieces today. One little girl (2016.17.61) painted a circle for her pumpkin and told her key person “it’s circle”. We even began to paint on to our pumpkin!

Our orange play dough was perfect for modelling pumpkins. After lots of trying we decided the best way to make a play dough pumpkin is to roll the play dough around and around. We made lots of pumpkins of all different sizes.

When Life Gives You Rain, Make Bubbles

We love rainy days in Pre-Nursery. It gave us a great opportunity to use our physical skills with mops, brushes and sweeps. We loved squirting the water and making bubbles.
